Our public newsgroup server crashed on August 7th. Repeated attempts to restart it have resulted in it quickly crashing again.

Please accept our sincere apologies for the inconvenience and annoyance of this unscheduled outage, and the awkward transition to our new discussion server caused by this hardware failure.

Preliminary testing of our new discussion forums is going well enough that requests to http://newsgroups.borland.com, http://newsgroups.codegear.com, news://newsgroups.borland.com and news://newsgroups.codegear.com are all now redirected to our new discussion server. Rather than spend any further efforts on the old newsgroup server, we are now focusing on addressing any reported issues with the new server so everyone can used the improved interface.

Because our NNTP access rules have changed, please spread the word about the new server to any friends you have who frequent our NNTP newsgroups so they can join back in to the conversations.
